In recent weeks, the topic of wheel bolts in combination with a spacer plate has been discussed publicly. We take such information seriously and rely on transparency, sound facts, and verifiable testing procedures.
On this page you will find the video statement by Robert Crispens (Managing Director of MORELO Reisemobile GmbH), an official information letter available for download, as well as further background information on the topic of chassis conversion.
In this video, Robert Crispens explains the current status of the topic, how feedback from practical use is handled, and the testing and quality assurance measures implemented to date.
Current status
Test results and internal review
Results from an independent inspection by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH are available. Under the tested conditions, no loosening of the fastening elements and no reduction in preload force were observed. Based on the available test results, there are currently no indications of a safety-relevant risk when the components are installed and used as intended.
Independently of this, MORELO has thoroughly reviewed its internal processes — from technical assumptions and calculations to assembly procedures as well as quality assurance and testing processes — in close coordination with the involved partners, including Fahrzeugbau MEIER GmbH and the spacer plate manufacturer SCC Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH.
